Pine Street Project
9/11/2026
UPDATE ON THE UPCOMING PROJECT ON PINE STREET, FROM THE GAS STATIONS TO THE RAILROAD TRACKS:
Depending on the weather, work is scheduled to begin during the last week of September or the first week of October.
Here is an overview of the process and timeline:
Phase 1: Road Preparation & Base Stabilization (Approx. 2 days)
- We will begin by grinding the deepest swags to a depth of 8-10 inches, using base rock and a stabilization product to compact the base properly.
- Next, we will spread base rock over the entire route and grind to a depth of 6-7 inches while injecting the base stabilization product.
- A grader will shape the road while rollers simultaneously compact the surface.
Phase 2: Settling & Final Shaping (Approx. 2 days)
- The road will be open to traffic on the gravel surface for 24 to 48 hours to identify and correct any soft spots.
- We will then complete a final shaping and compaction of the road.
Phase 3: Surfacing (Approx. 2 days)
- We will apply a prime oil coat and allow it to cure for several hours.
- Once cured, we will apply the first layer of chip and seal using 1/2-inch rock.
- The following day, we will apply the second layer of chip and seal usiing 3/8-inch rock.
If all goes according to plan, the full project will take approximately six (6) days of active work and settling time.
TRAFFIC NOTICE:
During active work on site, the road will be closed to thru traffic. Access will be limited strictly to residents who have no alternative route to their homes.
