Notice of Filing Deadlines for the April 4, 2023

There will be a general election held in the City of Archie, Missouri, on April 4, 2023, for the purpose of electing the Mayor for a two-year term, one Alderman from the East Ward for a two-year term, and one Alderman from the West Ward for a two-year term. Any candidate wishing to enter his or her name for one of these positions, must file with the City Clerk of the City of Archie, Missouri, during regular business hours (8:00AM-12:00PM and 12:30PM-4:30PM), Monday through Friday, no sooner than December 6, 2022, and no later than December 27, 2022, with the exception of December 23 & 26, 2022, when City offices will be closed. The office will remain open for filing until 5:00PM on December 27, 2022.

Chip and Seal to be Completed Tuesday, September 6

Vance Brothers has completed the chip and seal on W. Pine Street from Missouri to Butcher, and on Washington Street. They will be back in town on Tuesday afternoon, September 6, 2022, to complete the chip and seal on E. Chestnut, E. Elm Street, W. Elm Street, and Hi-View Ridge Drive. Please keep all vehicles off of these roadways during construction. Thank you for your patience!

Vance Brothers is in town today beginning the chip and seal work on W. Pine Street from Butcher Road to Missouri Street, Washington Street, E. Chestnut Street, E. Elm Street, W. Elm Street, and Hi-View Ridge. Please keep vehicles off of the roadways during construction. Thank you!
NOTICE - STREET WORK ON HI-VIEW RIDGE AND WEST ELM STREET

The tilling/reclamation of the road surface on Hi-View Ridge Drive and W. Elm Street will be done on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, beginning at 7:00am. Please have vehicles or other items, removed from the roadway during construction. Thank you for your help!

The tilling/reclamation on W. Elm Street and Hi-View Ridge Drive has been postponed to the beginning of next week. Weather permitting that work will begin early in the week.

Water Samples Are Good With DNR

The water sample tests from last week's shut down have come back in good standing with DNR. There is no longer a need for the precautionary boil advisory.

The City will be under a boil order, as a precautionary measure, for the next 2 days. Showering and cooking will not be an issue. Thank you for your patience as we work to improve the infrastructure one project at a time.
Upcoming Water Outage To Do Water Repair Work
7/6/2022
The City has a planned water outage for Thursday, July 7, 2022, in order to perform 3 water repairs. The water to the City will be shut down beginning at 8:00AM, for approximately 4-6 hours, while the City does a leak repair on W. Maple Street, a valve installation at Walnut & Washington, and a main extension at Pine & Washington. The City will do all 3 repairs at one time, in order to avoid 3 separate shut down's.
